TFS = Third Friday of September
2Expected Transfer Response
When EXIT_TYPE=ETC and an interdistrict transfer was expected (i.e., the expected transfer district is not the submitting DISTRICT), then ISES requires the expected transfer district to respond to the question "Did the student move to your district on or before the count date?" See response options and codes below:
Y = Yes, but discontinued schooling.
N = No evidence of move
R = Yes, this student transferred to a school not covered by WSLS and returned to regular education. (This code may be used for students with disabilities.)
S = Yes, this student transferred to a school not covered by WSLS and has a special education service plan with our district. (This code may be used for students with disabilities.)
T = Yes, but transferred to a school not covered by WSLS.
USES: The response to the expected transfer question determines accountability for ETC exits. If the student transferred to a school not covered by WSLS (response R, S, or T), the EXIT_TYPE is changed TNC to reflect this response. Codes R and S are necessary for students with disabilities in order to determine if the student "Returned to Regular Education" (RETURN_REG_ED).
3Possible Full Term Dropout
Y = Record identified as a possible full term dropout
N = Record is not a possible full term dropout
O = Record status is unknown; associated WSLS record no longer exists
These codes are ISES-generated.
